Course summary

Managing and dealing with change is an important skill to have; which includes helping other people undergoing change. Many of the skills needed are discussed, including motivating staff, communicating the change and using positive language.

The workshop helps to recognise people's attitudes to change and how we can use 'influencers' and 'champions' to develop change, develop individuals and groups and empower them to engage with change. It also looks at the barriers to change, the internal and external factors impacting on the success of the change and why building trust between people helps overcome many of the obstacles.

Following this course learners will be able to:

  • Describe the skills required to motivate staff, communicate changes and support people experiencing change
