Course summary

This course would be suitable for Senior care assistants/support workers/key workers in residential settings, domiciliary services, day services Senior healthcare assistants / support workers in community care, primary care, and acute health environments Senior support workers in supported living projects Community-based senior care assistants/ support workers/key workers, including those working in specialist areas eg dementia, learning disabilities Personal assistants employed directly by the individual they support or their families .

The course has various units three pathways:
Generic Health and Social Care pathway, Dementia pathway and Learning Disability pathway.
It also contains units from the Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England. If learners have completed the Level 2 qualification they do not need to repeat the shared units already achieved.You will be required to achieve at least 58 credits (regardless of pathway) to complete the qualification.

Following this course learners will be able to:

Learners in a management role will be able to progress onto the Level 5 Diploma in leadership for health and social care
