Kim Simpson
Project Manager, Assessor & Childcare Trainer

Kim has worked with children and young people for over 20 years, mainly in a residential special school in the south east, deemed “outstanding” by Ofsted where she was ultimately Head of Care, supporting young people with complex needs including speech and language and challenging behaviour.

The school’s ethos included giving children and young people ”roots and wings” and Kim believes Winnovation share this ethos and that all children and young people deserve the best possible opportunities in life. She feels it is our job to enable this through supporting those who care for them.

More recently Kim has worked as a Registered Manager in a children’s home, and a trainer/assessor in a North East college supporting “looked after” young people and delivering apprenticeships to carers working with children and young people and adults.

Kim is qualified in management (RMA), workforce development (ILM), children and young people (NVQ3&4), assessment (TAQA) and tutoring (PTLLS), supporting delivery of a variety of training and assessment.
